Check out his blog: 'Back to Square One'
The first trade we made today was on the German Bund, we spotted that US T-notes has rallied on the back of the market opening in the US, and was looking for a retracement.
The retracement was pretty sharp from the T-Notes, and by the time we had spotted it, the move was nearly over.
We decided to check other bonds, and the bund had made the exact same move, but had not yet retraced. We looked for the first sign of sellers entering the market, and then we got in.
The sell price was @ 153.431.
We put a 10 point trailing stop on and let the move happen.
It moved pretty sharply and as the move slowed down it hit the trailing buy price @ 153.128.
Banking a realised profit of £30.30 (3.03% increase on starting capital)
With a risk of 1% (£10, 10 tick trail)
Was a pretty good first trade, and I hope there are more to come.
Unfortunately my finspreads account doesn't facilitate me to trade bonds for some strange reason, therefore this trade was a collaborative trade as opposed to us both trading it on our own accounts.
